At 15, I wrote on a notepad that someday I'd create my own beauty brand.

I didn't know what that meant yet. I just knew I loved makeup. It gave me confidence as a teenager, and it quickly became part of who I am. I started a YouTube channel in 2016, filmed over a thousand tutorials, and tested thousands of products. I learned what works, what doesn't, and what's still missing.

When acne and sensitive skin followed me into adulthood, I realized my confidence couldn't come from makeup alone. I needed to actually understand my skin. But I also wasn't willing to give up makeup because it will always be part of who I am.

And I kept running into the same problem. Everything made me feel like I had to choose. Focus on your skin or wear the makeup you love. Good skin or good makeup. Never both.

So I built Ravie.
